FAQs
Oregon Online School Technical FAQs
Do I need to have access to a computer to attend?
Yes. Based on financial need and eligibility, Cascade Virtual Academy (CVA) may loan a computer system (including computer, printer, and software) to support the learning process. These computer systems are instructional property and must be returned when the student leaves the school. CVA also provides assistance with technical and software issues for loaner laptops and printers. Families also need to secure their own internet service provider.
What computer skills are required?
The Learning Coach needs to have at least basic computer skills. Use of the computer is an important part of the online school program. In the elementary grades, it is primarily the Learning Coach who interacts with the computer. Middle school and high school students are most successful if they have basic computer skills.
How do I get technical support?
CVA families needing customer care or technical support for computers or the online school can call 866.512.2273 (select option 2).
