Online Tests & Assessment FAQs
What tests are required as part of the program?
Students enrolled in Cascade Virtual Academy (CVA) are required to take the following tests:
- Course lesson and unit assessments
- Semester assessments
- Diagnostic and formative assessments to measure growth and mastery of grade-level standards
- Mandatory Oregon state-assessments (in-person)
Will my child have to participate in state testing?
Yes, as public-school students, all 3rd – 8th, and 11th-grade students enrolled in CVA are required to participate in all state-mandated testing, which your child can do remotely from home.
Updates, notifications, and forms for testing are sent annually per Oregon Department of Education requirements.
