Board Information

Cascade Virtual Academy is governed by a Board of Directors composed of three highly qualified members. We appreciate and respect our current board members and are always open to individuals interested in applying for consideration to join our board.

Meet Our Board of Directors

Dr. Chet Edwards | Chair

Dr. Edwards brings more than 35 years of experience as an educational leader in Oregon. He is the executive director at Education Options Associates, a consulting firm providing strategic direction, fiscal management advice, program evaluation, and other administrative services for educational agencies serving youth in Oregon. Dr. Edwards has developed and administered the operation of alternative, charter, and career education centers throughout Oregon.

Harold “Skip” Adams | Treasurer

Mr. Adams has dedicated his career to working with students across the state of Oregon. He has experience as a classroom teacher, lead evaluator for AdvancED accreditation, and director of an alternative school. Mr. Adams earned his degrees from Lewis and Clark College and the University of Oregon. He has also served in the Oregon National Guard Reserve.

Carleen Drago | Secretary

Ms. Drago is the Director of Educational Partnership and Outreach at the Oregon Institute of Technology and has dedicated her career to higher education. She brings a wealth of skills and experience to the board in dual enrollment and career technical education. She earned her Master of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies from Oregon State University.
